More Hispanic Poor Children in U.S. than any Other Group.

The report I am linking to below is intended to help keep you up-to-date and current about Hispanics in the United States. The reason I put these types of reports here should be obvious to you as a person who is learning Spanish.

When I post this type of thing I also want to make it clear that there are all kinds of Hispanics living in the United States; poor, middle class, wealthy. In fact, there are over 30,000 Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States doing more than $1 Million worth of business annually. There are professional and non-professional latinos. However, the reality is that nearly 90 percent of all Hispanics workers in the United States are blue-collar workers, not white-collar.

Those of us in Latino leadership have A LOT of work to do to pull up and help our people to succeed. Poverty is the great negator in life and we need to find ways to better educate, train and lift up our people.

Click here for the Report from Pew Hispanic Research.

By the way, a very exciting new initiative towards Latinos is coming from Bilingual America first of the year. You'll love it and hopefully get engaged!

Would love to hear your feedback and thoughts on this post.

Thank you for the information.  I work with many students of Hispanic background who are very sweet and eager to learn.  However, poverty is a "great negator in life" for them and it affects the quality of their learning and advancing in life.  I would like to see it change and learning Spanish is a great way to start although challenging for me at this time. :-)
