Ricardo González is Founder and Executive Director of Bilingual America. He founded Bilingual America in 1993 out of a desire to create relational success between Latinos and non-Latinos in business and society.

In addition to several other industry-specific courses, he is the developer and teacher of the SpanishPower™ and SuccesswithHispanics™ courses found on this site. He is a respected conference speaker, consultant and author.

Ricardo is the author of The 12 Hidden Truths to Learning Spanish. His newest book, scheduled for release in the fall of 2013 is titled, Café con Milk - How to Brew Wildly Successful Life and Business Relations with Latinos. He has also been a featured writer for several trade magazines over through the years. Ricardo is also the Executive Director of Vía de Exito, an initiative dedicated to teaching Latinos how to develop high levels of success in life and business.

Personal History: Ricardo comes from a bilingual, bi-cultural family. His father is from Puerto Rico and is one of 27 children. (Not a typo!) His mother was an orphan from the hills of Kentucky. He jokingly calls himself a Puerto Rican Hillbilly. He has lived extensively both in the United States and in three different Latin America countries including Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. Ricardo is blessed with a beautiful wife, Maribel (from Puerto Rico) and has three wonderful children Gabriel, Andrea, and his youngest Marí Andrea.

Educational Background: Ricardo has undergraduate degrees in theology and communications. He also has Masters Level training in counseling. He is an avid learner and has made it his practice to read at least one book weekly for the past 20 years. He also makes it his practice to invest significant time engaging with Latinos from different countries and socioeconomic backgrounds. This gives him a much more accurate understanding and perspective than if he just confined himself to trusting academic studies and reports.
